Politics: Women for Obama Event

Working on the Obama Campaign in Ohio, I had the opportunity to plan some pretty cool events to get university students involved in the election process this time around. One of my favorite events I got to organize, was an evening for the young women at Ohio Wesleyan University. The evening welcomed Kate Chapek, The National Women's Vote director for the Obama Campaign. Kate blessed us with her awareness of women's issues that are currently dueling in the political arena. This night was extremely motivating for everyone who joined and I have a feeling this motivation lead to action.
I'm sure Kate would appreciate this.
The Chaplain of the University, Chaplain Powers, joined us this evening to show his support.
"Sisters United," a progressive women's organization at Ohio Wesleyan University, came to the event in great numbers and were a perfect addition to our night.

A lot of issues were put on the table this particular evening. All of which are hoped to one day be resolved or reinvented through the grueling political process. We just have to get more people talking about these issues, like Kate Chapek motivated this group of women to do, and hopefully these conversations will continue to move us forward as a country.
