Politics: Presidential Inaugural Staff Ball

On November 6th, 2012, we re-elected Barack Obama for another term as President. Two months later, we officially welcomed Barack back into office at the Presidential Inauguration in Washington DC. It was time to celebrate our win. And celebrate we did.
On the day of the Inauguration, my friend Courtney and I joined 800,000 people on the National Mall to watch Barack's swearing in. It was my first time at an Inauguration Ceremony and we were SO lucky to get such an incredible spot so close to the Capitol Building. We were so close we could see everyone on stage. Beyonce closed the ceremony with the National Anthem and we officially were part of this historic event.
The following evening, I threw on my tux and Courtney threw on her glitter, and we were ready to celebrate at the Inaugural Staff Ball.
After Joe and Jill Biden thanked the crowd for our hard work, Barack and Michelle took the stage to do the same. To have the President personally thank us, it was SO cool (to say the least). Even cooler (Sorry Barack) was the fact that LADY GAGA performed at this intimate celebration. Gaga was just feet away from us and it could not have been more inspirational.

Tony Bennett also joined us for the evening.

Hard work deserves hard celebrating and that is exactly what we did.
