The first weekend of November, I booked a megabus from NYC to DC. Then I hopped on a train from Union Station, through Williamsburg, and all the way to Newport News, Virginia. I broke away from the city for a fews days to help good ole Amy Littleton with her last leg on the Terry McAuliffe campaign for governor.
There were LEAVES OF COLOR on TREES. (I hadn't gotten out of the city in a while)
And the train ride was beautiful to meet the crew.
Here's the crew.
Realllllly some talent here. Amy knows how to find phenomenal friends
and this weekend was full of them.
These PEOPLE. So smart and dedicated and full of life I can't.
But it was time to get to work. Amy's job for election weekend was to organize a huge group of college kids from Columbia that came down to volunteer for the last leg of the race.
Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz stopped by our staging location to surprise the students. Got a good pic of you here Debbie.
Words of motivation, etc.
"Fave congresswoman ever!"
Before we knew it, it was 5am election morning.
5am cannot happen without Bojangles.
Amy got the team motivated.
And we were off.
Terry for the gold. Thanks Amy for your hard work.
Fun weekend on the trail. God bless the Dems.
